Gramin Mahila Swasthya Chetna Evam Swarojgar Vikas Samiti , a Uttarakhand based Non government organisation was established in the year 2002 with the aim of creating a more sustainable planet and people. From the mountains of Uttarkhand to the cities of India we are on mission to empower communities and mobilise youth for a better world ahead.

Thematic Areas
Climate Change and Mitigation
We implement community-based initiatives to address climate change through eco-restoration, afforestation, and promotion of organic farming. Our focus is on reducing dependency on chemical inputs, conserving natural resources, and encouraging climate-resilient agricultural practices that protect both people and the planet.
Skill development
We focus on building practical skills among rural women and youth to enhance their employability and self-reliance. Through hands-on training in areas such as natural farming, tailoring, food processing, mushroom cultivation, and vermi composting, we empower individuals to start their own income-generating activities and small enterprises.
Livelihood Promotion
We ensure comprehensive livelihood promotion, from need assessment to skill development, entrepreneurship aid, and market access. Our initiatives break the shackles of poverty, nurturing self-sufficiency, transforming lives, and forging sustainable futures.
Disaster Risk Reduction
We work with vulnerable rural communities to build resilience against natural disasters. Our activities include awareness campaigns, capacity-building programs, and projects such as watershed development and fuel load management. These initiatives help reduce environmental risks and prepare communities to respond effectively to future disasters.
